Purple lines

I finished this quilt today, hand stitching the binding down on the back.  It will join the other quilts on the bannisters, but first it needs a wash to get rid of the purple lines I drew to quilt along.

Once our painters have been back to do the second phase of the redecoration (which will include the downstairs hall and upstairs landing area) W will mount a dowel so we can display a quilt - they'll have to take turns!

It's been another cold day, the pond is frozen solid again, and the ice is so thick W wasn't able to break it this morning.  It's forecast to warm up over the weekend, but with wind instead!
