Stalks

Peaceful and generally fruitful day working at home. Alongside making good progress (if slower than I would have wanted) on a number of fronts, we also sorted out one of our toilets. Mr A managed to get the flush mechanism apart so he could replace the bellows and then the plumber came and sorted out the mini and occasional leak in the same toilet (clean water only) which had been annoying us for the longest time. I also cleared out a backlog of laundry and changed the bedding.

In the evening, we watched quite a few university challenge episodes, including a couple of the Christmas ones, and then watched the much lauded interview of Sheila Hancock by Amol Rajan. We are now firmly into the second half of January. As of next week, some more busy-ness creeps into life, so it's been good to have a relaxing time for a couple of weeks, especially during the cold weather. This evening, the cold "broke" and was replaced by some rain and a fair bit of wind (much more to come over the weekend), with consequential annoying banging noises on the balcony above ours.
