Dregs

Do you have dregs of snow?! Anyway, the last vestige left after the rain and milder temperatures have dealt with the majority of it. Hard to believe that only yesterday the roads were impassable and the Coastguard helicopter was across the way doing ambulance duty. 

We had a quickish foray into town, mainly for bird food. A bit bonkers but they really need it and we have our regular visitors through that we feel responsible for. We managed a minimal food shop too although the supermarket car park was rammed and I left Chris to park whilst I got on with shopping. When we left it was even worse with a queue down the street. The effects of a few days of being unable to get out plus projected stormy weather in the next couple of days. I was pleasantly surprised to find the shelves well stocked as I had wondered if the supply lorries had got stranded in the Highlands on their way up. Must be a logistical nightmare moving all those perishable goods around!

 Back home and more faddling in the hideyhole. I even hung a picture that's been proud against a wall since we moved here, waiting for Chris (and me) to remember. It looks a lot better on the wall!
