Blooming in my absence

Over the past week whilst we have been away the buddleia bush in the garden has come into full flower so I thought this was an easy blip for a recuperative day after the holiday. I love the dome-like shapes of the blooms.

This is one of the budlleia davidii species but I have been unable to locate the particular variant, they hale from China. They are commonly known as the butterfly bush but I can't say I've noticed any butterflies around them. I will have to keep a watchful for eye out as my butterfly blip status is currently zilch.

Thanks to GeekMeek and Limoniad I have now discovered that this "buddleia" is is in fact a Ceanothus. Bang go my butterflies !!
