Silly bird

This silly bird had made a nest with two eggs within inches of a popular cliff top walk. As we walked quickly by we were harassed by her friends who were obviously trying to protect her. There were many suitable safe places below on the cliff and I wonder if her chicks will survive inquisitive dogs or dangers.
Sango Sands beach at Durness on the northern coast is typical of the glorious clean sandy beaches in the area with frequent sightings of whales, dolphins and porpoises and ships rounding the northern coast of Scotland. In the distance are the cliffs where thousands of seabirds including puffins nest.

(This was the only place in several days where we got a faint mobile phone signal)
