Amble Harbour

The reason we have been spending a few days over in Amble is today's funeral.  So we checked out of the hotel and headed into Amble to while away some time until the funeral.

The harbour sounded as if it would offer some blip opportunities, we headed there.  We had a good wander round getting lots of potential blips.  I chose this one as the presence of the Lobster pots helps to underline the fact the harbour still has working boats.  Having got chilled, the wind was still blowing a hooley we headed for a cafe.

Then off to the church, the service was followed by a short ceremony at the crematorium.  After lunch in the church hall we said goodbye to the family and headed back to Cumbria.


N.B.  I should say headed back to Westmorland and Furness, however having been a Cumbrian for all my life apart from the last 10 months I have no intention of becoming a "Westmerian" just because some clown drew a line on the map in the wrong place.
