Chaos?

Iron Ring Butterfly - Pieris ferrotorus

I was passing the harbour early this morning (well, 9am is early for me) and saw a ship was in so stopped to take a look.

My subject matter for today was found in a section of the outer harbour no longer used for mooring. I thought it looked a bit like raised butterfly wings - but did its demise cause the present global warming?
