@Laurie54's theme for Mono Monday is 'thick', so here is part of the überpollarded and rather contorted silver birch in my garden.  It was all I had the brain for today on account of almost no sleep last night thanks to the incessant gales, with the house clunking and roaring and shuddering with every gust and the tree whooshing like a jet engine.
