Brightness

I knew it was forecast but the brightness behind the curtains today was a giveaway that the snow was back. Blue skies along with it this time but still very cold out there.

The weather has brought a big flock of Wigeon onto the water circling around seemingly in pairs - plus one white farmyard goose.  We've been rewarded with a good flypast of 'our' female Hen Harrier which I've managed to catch on camera, albeit only using my mobile. You can see her lovely brown body in the sunshine and her distinctive white bar across her tail.

I'm just sitting and gazing through the window. Sewing is cancelled for the fourth week in a row but at least today's is not down to strong winds which have become really tiring. The temperatures are set to stay around freezing so it looks like more incarceration is on the cards, for today at least.

No problem - I've plenty to be getting on with and a Berry to play with!
