At a time like this (it was five o'clock) I usually pack up and go and so I had but, on driving down the road by pure chance saw this barnie coursing the field. Hurriedly putting the car up on the verge I shot out and shot. Not having very high hopes it was still a great sight to see when there had been zilch earlier with the shortie I actually did see on the horizon. 

Having had the heads up it was a blip milestone coming up I did feel that I had to get out there even though was too late in the day really. No chance of getting 4000 shots or owls today.
