If you can't beat them...

Snowdrops at Acorn Bank

The National Trust property at Acorn Bank is known for Snowdrops.  Kanyl being a Galanthophile, we thought we would take him for our Wednesday out.  I should have researched things better.  Why you ask?  Well, they aren't open mid week until March.  So the cafe wasn't open.  It was possible for us to wander round.

There were great drifts of snowdrops, unfortunately, quite a way from the parking and along paths/down slopes that Kanyl couldn't have walked and too steep for his wheelchair.  Not really a problem we had a wander around, he walked some parts, was pushed in others.  We saw lots of snowdrops just not in the several yard long drifts that were down by the river.  We made up for the lack of cafe by going out to Cocklakes Basecamp for coffee and some shopping before dropping Kanyl home.

The blip is of one of the "smaller drifts near the house.  I chose it because it also includes the gates that I rather like.
