If you can't beat them...

Yet again not tempted to be outside much to take photos so another through the window shot between snow showers.  It snowed on and off all day, only fine and barely laid.

I chose this shot as it clearly shows the main identification points.  For a long time, I would see a Sparrow and subconsciously write it off as a male House Sparrow.  When you have memorised the points it is clear which is which.  Firstly male and female TS look the same.  Now the difference between TS and male HS.  In TS the crown is brown in Hs Grey.   TS has a white cheek and the collar HS is grey.  TS has a well defined black spot on the cheek HS doesn't.  The bib on a TS is small black and on the throat.  HS is down the throat and onto the chest fading out not clearly marked.
