Alcedo Abstract

As you may have guessed from the colours and the title, this image started out as a kingfisher.

My processing has destroyed all recognisable details and left an abstract open to your imagination to interpret as you will.

No other images were involved.  All was done to the original using GIMP.

Ingeborg's theme for Abstract Thursday is 'Colourful and Festive'. You can't deny that a kingfisher is certainly colourful but I'd be really stretching it to claim it is 'Festive'.  My entry therefore meets half of her optional theme for this week's challenge.

Woodleywise has suggested the title of 'Halcyon Daze' which I really like.
