Heron

I took my big lens to work today and at lunchtime I just happened to see a heron fly close by, so I decided to investigate. I found this character standing by the edge of a small stream that run around the edge of the campus. S/he seemed quite ok with my presence, as long as I moved slowly and quietly, so this was the image that I settled on for today's blip.
