Locked in Edinburgh

I've had a very busy, interesting day: morning exercise; early afternoon work (final feedback on Marina's PhD thesis, helping her to refine the expression of her contribution); late afternoon trip out to buy a birthday present for Jackie and pick up some holiday reading from the library; evening fun with Bruce and Elly at Locked in Edinburgh followed by a delicious meal at Kalpna.

My blip is of the pile of locks shown to us at the start of our Locked in game. Our host wanted to be certain that we were familiar with all the different mechanisms. Our team, named 'You choose' because that's what Elly said when Mr hazelh asked for team name suggestions, is pictured in the extra. As well as the excitement of the game itself, the building in which we played is interesting as the old vet school. Here (the late) Daddy hazelh studied in the late 1950s/early 1960s. Whatever would he have made of the repurposing of the labs and lecture rooms in which he studied?

While I was at the gym this morning, our burglar alarm was fixed  - hurrah!

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; pilates class; swim (30 lengths); walking (21,803 steps).
