Buffering

Spent a frustrating/enjoyable time in the workshop this afternoon knocking up this 'rail-built' buffer for one of the sidings on the FWR.

Discovered nickel-silver doesn't bend quite as easily as I thought. It solder's nicely though.

I wouldn't normally paint the metal but just leave it to weather naturally, but somehow these buffers really need to look rusty so I gave it a rather rushed coverage - it'll look fine in a month or so, especially when I've embedded the sleepers in concrete.
