Road Works

We stayed home today, with the exception of the two short trips out, we went for a walk around the block on one and on the other we just stood outside and watching what was happening. I'm still not feeling good and didn't have the energy to go far. Little Man wanted to see what was happening outside so I put him in his pushchair andwe spent some time just watching the men, from KPN¹, putting the cables down. They'd dug the paving stones up and the layers of sand and soil underneath to lay a few cables, for the local television. They then filled the soil and sand back into the trenches they'd made, followed by the paving stones. They then used a compressor machine to push all the paving stones back into place, so that they aren't sticking out of the ground at sharp angles.
