Black Sheep at Mortonhall

A lovely start to the day. A bit busy at work. A nice walk around the park at lunchtime. I did walk across the grass on the way home, it was very squishy.A result of the heavy rain we have been experiencing this winter.

Busy afternoon at work. Glad to finish though. Normal café is shut, so partner and I decide to head over the Braids to the garden centre. The sunny weather seemed confined to Edinburgh. A circle of blue sky was above us. Fife, West Lothian, The Borders and East Lothian seemed to be under grey cloud. At Mortonhall, I took this pastoral scene of the flock of black sheep. When we got to the garden centre, we found the café was shut. There had been a power outage for most of the day, which had been restored just after 4pm. Too late to open the café. So we head to the food section of the shop, grab a salted caramel cake, and we get the bus home. At least we managed our Friday coffee and cake in the end.
