Wendy's World

Airienteers

Today we drove to the North Yorkshire Moors to orienteer at Gilling Woods in the first round of the CompassSport Cup.    It was a warm day and we were all taking off layers before our runs, I can't remember when I last ran in short sleeves!

The wood was slurpy and brambly and honestly hard work, but it was good to be out in the fresh air and to socialise with our Club members after our runs.  My blip captures some of them.

We were beaten by South Yorkshire Orienteers but we will go through to the Final as SYO were last year's winners and automatically go through.  Becky was also running in a heat south of London today.  We've yet to see how she got on.  Tony came first on his course and scored 100 points towards the Club total.  I had 93 points and was just out of the scorers.
