Life through the lens...

Roundhay Park.

First visit this year to Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Went especially to see the crocus. Although we did have some sunshine they weren’t fully open. Also we didn’t think there were as many as in previous years.
Still looked lovely and especially the ones along the road up to the park, which are planted in blocks of the same colour.

We had an enjoyable walk round both lakes.
Fortunately not too busy. The daffodils are beginning to open and also saw a camellia bush flowering. First I have seen this year.

I took many photos and so decided on a collage.
You can see the Mansion House which is now a cafe, restaurant and wedding venue. Actually remember going to my cousin’s wedding reception there many years ago.
MrC walking towards the castle which is actually a Folly.
Children playing in the stream which is the overflow from the top lake.
The crocus on the roadside and in the park.
Daffodils and camellia.
The swans, and other birds near the cafe. Always gather there waiting to be fed.

Enjoyed the morning, and good weather too.
