Miracle

If you saw my blip of two days ago, you'll realise why today's is such a big deal. The plaster - brilliant plasterer - is drying nicely (the paler bits); there is a damp-proof membrane behind it; the fireplace is back in place and the skirting-board restored (brilliant joiner) and the gas fire reinstalled and rejoined to the gas supply (and I taught the son of the gas man...)

I don't know why we rate anyone higher than the people who can do stuff like this. Unless maybe it's a surgeon ...
