Minimally Dry

The westerly driven rain battered so hard on my bedroom window I woke up long before dawn. Didn't stay awake, of course, but wow there can't be much more rain in the sky... can there?

I spotted a dry hour on the weather predictor and we decided on a quick walk. However, by the time we were ready we'd eaten into the hour and the walk took us further and longer, and ultimately we got a tad damp. 

Today is brought to you courtesy of a large blue but very warm onesie...

Of course, as the Sun set the rain stopped... ah well. A brief excursion into the back garden for a dramatic emergency blip and there was the twisted hazel.

Another link to an interesting article... I'm glad some of you enjoyed the horror of yesterday's seminar on Sun dimming. Voyager 1 was as much a. part of my childhood as were the moon landings and Star Wars (the first (or fourth) and only worthwhile one).

With all the blistering nonsense at home and all the atrocious tragedy in the world, I am strengthened by the words of the mighty Carl, speaking of the pale blue dot, whereon we all live; a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam...
