Lots of socialising

For the first time in a long time we didn’t have A the painter turning up at the door at 7:50am, so we were able to relax over breakfast.  I managed to get a load of washing out on the line before we walked down to coffee.  Time passed quickly and before we knew it was after midday.  Oops!  We went into the Opera House to book for “Tutus on Tour” next Thursday, but there were people in front of us and it was taking so long that we walked back up the hill and I made the booking online.

I brought the washing in, folded it and put it away then changed into my working clothes and sanded the skirting board in the ensuite.  It needs to be painted before S the tiler turns up, hopefully next week, to silicone around the tiles, as he uses non-paintable silicone.  I swept up the dust, washed the skirting board and cleaned the filter on the vacuum cleaner.  Suddenly it was time to change and walk back down the hill for last Friday of the month drinks.  There was a very small group tonight as a lot of the regulars are away.  We had an enjoyable time and left to walk home just before 8pm.

We had a cheese omelette with fresh tomatoes for supper, watched some of the cricket NZ vs Australia, did Quordle, caught the last of the cricket - NZ lost - then decided it was time for bed.

My emergency blip is a Citroen car parked on the street as we set off home after drinks.
