Cheeky

Umbrella trees are native to north Queensland and Papua New Guinea. With their bright pink-purple fruit they are attractive garden plants in warm climates. But they are inclined to invade bushland, as this one has in the Lake Ainsworth heathland nearby. When I photographed it this afternoon many White-cheeked Honeyeaters were gorging themselves on the ripe fruit.
