Usk Castle

Early afternoon I travelled from home to my eldest son's house in Cwmbran (South Wales, UK) to watch the Cardiff City FC v Stoke match on  tv at 3pm.

I drove through Usk and stopped to get an aerial photograph of Usk Castle (1120AD) which is on top of a mound and hidden most of the year by vegetation.

Cardiff won 2-1 and didn't play that well, but managed to hold the first half 2-1 lead in a nervy finish.  Our first win for a while! 

We're out for a meal and a drink this evening with our friends and neighbours.  I'll drink to the win!
