We got stuck into clearing the shed after tea in bed, then stopped for bacon and egg rolls before A sprayed the inside wood with a bleach solution and we left it empty with the doors open to get it aired out. Chatting to the neighbour it sounds like she needs to drill some ventilation holes in a couple of places around the walls to avoid the mould returning.
We decided to take Paisley out for a walk and enjoyed almost the whole way until we met two dogs towards the end which set her off barking and jumping as usual. Still, we’d had a lovely time before then, seeing hares, walking along the edge of some fields where new crops were coming through, and listening to a lot of birdsong.
We sat on her deck in the sunshine with some tea and Selkirk Bannock fruit bread when we got back, then I was feeling more full of energy than her so I ironed whilst she had a nap before I came home.
Made a quick Eve’s pudding with some cooked apples that I’d defrosted and forgotten to take to A’s house.
It was soon time for the extended family zoom call (extra) for M’s 90th birthday. It had all the classics of early zoom calls with several of the members unable to work out how to mute, or switch their cameras on or etc….gracious! Nice to see so many people though, not all of whom I’ve met! There were people from California, Paris, Spain, London, Oregon and Scotland. M herself seemed on good form and was talking about having just renewed her driving licence….
