Obviously this really is Levens Hall.  I've tried to make it just a little spooky and kooky using black and white and skeletal trees.
Lunch time we set off for the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal for Hubby's  first post operation appointment.  He just needed to have an x-ray followed by a CT scan.  
The weather was foul - raining hard, very misty and just generally yuk.  We set off early, as we always do to save getting stressed when we meet hold-ups etc.  Although we did come across two separate sets of roadwork traffic lights we got there in plenty of time.  Found our way to the x-ray department for his first appointment, way to early, but still we'd taken our kindles to read so no problem.  However, we'd only just got settled in our seats when they called him in early.
After that we then went to the general outpatients waiting area for his CT scan.  We did have time to read here, but even then we were seen a good 20 minutes early - so that is excellent service.
It was now 2.00  pm, so we decided to have a late lunch at Levens Kitchens.  Hubby had Cumberland Sausage and Mash and I a Red Endive Salad with nuts, stilton and apples.  DELICIOUS.  
By the time we'd finished, about 3.00 pm it had stopped raining the sun actually came out - wahey.  So I popped round the corner to take a couple of photos  including this one.
