Lynton

Despite it being a really wet start to the day, we headed to Lynmouth for coffee and to eat our picnic .
We had intended to walk from Brendon to Watersmeet but it just seemed too wet and damp so we had a mooch in Lynton then walked along the Cliff Path to Valley of Rocks - I’ve never been as close to the local feral goats . Amazing creatures who cling to the steep cliffs above the sea .
We had a flask of tea in the car, did the crossword and headed back to the cottage . The moor was really misty but it cleared as we came down Porlock Hill .
