Staithes and Runswick Bay

Drove out to Staithes today, had lunch in the pub and then had a good walk around the village and harbour.  We were glad of the shelter the harbour wall offered, the wind was cold!

After taking the traditional view from the top of the cliff, we stopped for tea and cake then drove onto Runswick Bay where we had a walk on the beach and then through the rabbit warren of paths in the village.  It was fairly obvious that most of the properties were holiday lets that weren't populated this early in the season - it was very quiet, with very few cars in the village car park.

We had dinner at the Fisherman's Wife restauraunt in Whitby then drove back to the cottage.
