Backward Glance

Sunshine and blue sky gave me some nice light to photograph a pair of American Tree Sparrows harbouring in a button bush. I had to shift around in small increments to find the best view through the mass of twigs.

However, I prefer capturing wildlife in their natural surroundings. It's more of a challenge, but seems more genuine.

I like the colourful markings on these birds. Apparently they need to take on 30 percent of their weight every day and a similar amount of water to avoid a sudden demise.

Extra: Sweet Dreams. What do doves dream of?
