Ooooooooo! Ahhhhhhhh!

It's Motorhead Sunday and today's offering is a 1969 Lola T163 which harkens back to the old CanAm racing days.  This is a real beauty and those velocity stacks deliver the most beautiful track noise there is....second only to a CanAm McLaren.  I just happen to have a nice .wav file of this exact car but I can't figure out how to upload it.   In lieu of that file, you can find some "Lola speak" at this link:  1969 Lola T163

In addition, there's all sorts of other information about this incarnation that you gear heads out there will love to read about.  This photo was made at the Concours d'Elegance in downtown Elkhart Lake as part of the WeatherTech International Challenge celebration last July.

It's during this Concours that all the race cars drive from Road America into the Village of Elkhart only a couple of miles away and the village's population swells from just over 1,000 people to over 20,000.  It's an amazing spectacle and the attendees can get up close to each car and talk with the drivers.  If you have the capability, here are the precise GPS coordinates where this photo was taken and you can check it out for yourself:  Lat 43° 49' 47.76" N    Lon 88° 1' 0.66" W.

If you have Google Maps, you can use this link to help you locate the coordinates:  https://support.google.com/maps/answer/18539?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop#:~:text=In%20the%20search%20box%2C%20enter,2%C2%B010%2726.5%22E
