Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Puzzled

The early spring of a few weeks ago has been swallowed back up by the grey, wet winter, and currently no sunshine in the forecast until next Tuesday. But hey, the reservoirs will be full…

I’ve always been a bit puzzled why this one Oak tree above Red Brick Dam keeps its leaves through the winter. It does at least add a bit of colour to the winter view, although better seen in the sunshine. Is there a species of Oak that keeps its leaves like  this?

Just Coots and Moorhen on the pond today. The young swans have departed and no sign of more exotic visitors.
