Magnolia Stellata

In the garden this morning waiting for guests to arrive and enjoying the signs of new life.

We have many shrubs and plants that flower at different times of year so we are very lucky to have colour for the Spring and Summer months.

The white Magnolia Stellata is an early flowering shrub that lasts a couple of weeks and is a neighbour to the pink and white Camellias so quite an uplifting time for us, and the bees.

My brother T and his wife J came to visit and we adjourned to the local hostelry for lunch.

We all had Fishy Thursday special - fish, chips and peas (fresh tinned/mushy or fresh/frozen).

Followed by a lavish pudding. Let's be honest, it's all about the pudding.

Lemon Meringue and ice cream.

It is the most lemoniest, ice creamiest, mouth wateringest pud imaginable.

Why, oh why, did I not take a photo?

Because I was in a hurry, that's why.
