Big Horse Creek

We had some time today at the tiny town of Lansing. Not much there but they have a great little park for walking or just sitting along Big Horse Creek. We got a mile walking along the creek where we talked with some locals about fishing (he said there was only catch and release for trout now) and a lady who was taking photos too. I had to talk to her!

We had lunch at a little cafe called The Liars Bench—probably has to do with all the tall tales about the fish that got away. The sandwiches were good for such a tiny place.

After lunch we drove to the New River State Park and did some more walking in the river trail. I want to go back to walk the whole trail as it meanders around through park.

A good no work day!
