Dining Out

At Charelli's, one of our two hang-outs when we go to town.  The Ellaphant was restless and the weather was dreary, and while AW wouldn't have minded cooking up something, I wasn't in the mood to clean up.  Once seated, we thought we were not hungry, and then it turned out that we were.  I primarily came for the oysters, AW came for the mood.  It felt a bit as though we were dating, although actually we do still behave that way often when we go out.  The discussions, though, were typical of a couple who's been together for decades.

Watched TV the whole aftertoon -- the World Shorttrack Skating Championships held at Rotterdam.  It's been a dramatic 3-day affair, with several falls, penalties, and disqualifications.  The Dutch team were hit hard, finishing with only one gold instead of the usual five or six.  Lessons learned for next time.  In the meantime, AW's back feeling a bit better.  There'll be a hearing again this coming Tuesday.  Would be lovely if it was the last one.  The very last one.  Another very late night till the wee hours.  I'll be thankful once it's done.
