Travels With 4 Wheel Fred

Another Saturday, Another Swarm Of Midges!

These one's were far more fierce than last weeks. Scottish midges are a breed of their own. Persistent, painful and pretty darn awful. To the point that we thought about bottling out and going home. Moving 100yrds up the stage made a bit of a difference, but they were always close by, just waiting to pounce!!

Not as exciting as last weekend (for me anyway), as the stage we were in, only the British Rally Championship (BRC) and the BRC Challenge went through it twice. Though we did also get to see the Land Rovers twice. Even got a hoot of the horn from one of them. :)

This is Euan Thorbun & Paul Beaton in their Ford Focus WRC, they won the Module S Event (I don't like these new "modules") which was a round of the ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship.

I'm sure I can still smell burning rubber, there seemed to be a high number coming of car coming through the stage with punctures....

Better viewed Large so you can spot the midges!
