Vive l'école publique

The local authority wants to close down one of the three primary school classes shared between our two small villages (39 pupils total). So yeah, c'est non ! And we have to have a demo! Naturally the mayors of both villages were there, along with pupils and their parents. But also older people like us who are not directly concerned, but understand that villages need young parents to survive and thrive. 

It was a very brief demo; we arrived three minutes late and nearly missed it. I think the main point was to get a photo in the local paper. Job done!
