Courting?!

Hearing the hedgehog biccies dish being pushed about, I peeped out through the curtains and was surprised to see these two. Given the difference in size, at first I thought it was an adult with its young, but it soon became apparent that this was a very large male courting a very small female. I felt sorry for the poor little thing being pursued by such a brute. To get an idea of scale, the biccies dish is 5”/13cm in diameter.

Wild weather today, sunshine and showers, hail and thunder, and a very cold wind. Strange day, feeling weary and discombobulated.
