Behind bars…

Nope, still not working.  Our little blue tit who we have named Gary,  in memory of an old boyfriend (there are reasons), is still tapping away.  I am sure @annejohn is right that we should be putting stuff on the outside of the window as the reflection will still be showing on top of these lines.  So will do that later in the week as getting up here needs a ladder. I read that horizontal lines on windows do stop birds banging into them.  We have decals of raptors on our biggest picture windows as we lost too many goldfinches on them.  And that seems to have worked.

Worked at home today and managed two decent walks so upped my steps for the day. Diverted to see the patch of primroses that I blipped this time last year, nearly blipped them again so glad I checked back.   V went up to London to see a friend for lunch and another friend in hospital.

He got back early evening fairly shattered and we had meatballs and watched another of Shogun.  Despite the violence it is weirdly soothing, mainly because it’s more like watching Sci Fi than anything, 16th Century feudal Japan being so remote.  There was a fight sequence where what seemed like dozens of people were killed but the hero team somehow emerged no more than a couple of men down.

I am reading two novels for work, Tyler, based on a series of Canadian war novels by Maureen Jennings, set in Shropshire and a new book, not out yet called The Reluctant Spy.  Gripping.
