London

A birthday trip to London :) We left Mum’s at about 9.30 and headed for Edgeware. We stopped for a Greggs on the way. Luckily it was open after a problem with their computers earlier on.
A good journey ! YES , not much traffic and no queues going through the tunnel.
We parked in the carpark near the underground station in Edgeware. It was not easy to find as there were no sign posts.
We had time to spare so had a look round Covent Garden. David treated us to a milkshake and one of Bens cookies, very nice. There was a group of teenagers and their teacher on the bench next to us . They surprised her with a cake and candles and sang Happy Birthday.
We walked to Tottenham Court Road and had a drink sitting outside Starbucks. We met Richard and Janne and had a Pizza, followed by a coffee / iced tea in a trendy coffee shop.
Next stop was the Phoenix Theatre to see Stranger Things. It was excellent. Set before the series. Some great special effects and the acting, especially the leads, was amazing.
Richard caught the bus back to Jannes while we caught the tube back to Edgeware. There was a fantastic light display near the station.
A big diversion on the way back to Luton as the M1 was shut as well as several other roads so we were shattered when we reached the hotel !
