Steps to nowhere

These small stumps are the result of having a hedge removed, which served no purpose and closed off the garden.  The stumps will be removed by the arborist when he’s finished removing the trees that are surplus to requirements.  This piece of the garden is in front of the dining room and MrMacD is working out a plan to make it a beautiful garden to look out on.

We have friends staying with us tonight, so have had a very convivial evening with good food and wine and good company.
