Home day

Today I finally got my house back, but it took a bit of work. I vacuumed, dusted, swept, washed, mended, ironed, made 2 beds, tidied, did a smidgeon of work, contacted trusted traders about the next plans and, channelling last night's GW, moved the large pendulous begonia from the en suite to the living room. It actually looks like it will be happier there and easier to get outside in the summer, if I decide to. Outside the weather was mixed, with quite a few heavy showers.

A came and sorted the boiler (not as it turned out), advised on a hopefully non interventionist fix for the kitchen radiator, which meant heat belting out in the kitchen, then living room all day. The leak has unfortunately distorted part of the carcase. Not sure how the washing machine will ever move. The leak, a small drip, had clearly been going on for some time. How was it not noticed?

By late afternoon the sun had come out so I walked down to Margiotta, first time since coming back and then went into the garden before the sun disappeared to fill the feeders. There is much work to be done there but that will be more enjoyable than most of what I've done today.

Watched 2 C4 docs about John Stonehouse and the Hindenburg then bed, compensating for the 'lost' hour.
