Purple snake's head fritillary

This shot is a companion for the one of a white snake's head fritillary taken in my garden on 23rd March.

Due to injury, I wasn't able to run my birthday 10k on my actual birthday last Sunday. Instead I proved today that I can still run 10k aged 61. I passed an Easter egg hunt in Starbank Park along the route. I was almost tempted to join in.

This afternoon I gardened, then had a long chat on the phone with my University friend Sarah, who lives on the Isle of Man. 

In other news, Marina was offered the job for which she was interviewed on Thursday. What a week it has been for her!

Exercise today: 10k run; walking (18,275 steps including run).
