The Lozarithm Lens

Tiny Tuesday (2nd April 2024)

The first Woodland Garden bluebells are beginning to appear. These belonged to the garden before I moved in, back in 1989, and I don't think they are the native variety that I would have chosen but are either Spanish bluebells or a hybrid of both, now the most common I believe. With thanks to JDO for Tiny Tuesday.

I have changed the Blip for 31st March to a different image, because the new image was chosen for Flickr's Explore award.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
People Like Us - Do You See What I Hear (2019)
At the moment I'm playing back programmes made in 2019 for 6 Music by Iggy Pop and Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone, reading Uncut and Mojo magazines for 2019 and playing their cover discs from 2019. It's 2019!
One of them was this piece by Plunderphonics soundscapist Vikki Bennett, who I used to hear a lot on John Peel's show and on Radio 3's Mixing It about 25 years ago, so was very pleased to learn she was still doing what she does. According to Wikipedia, "People Like Us has programmed "DO or DIY", an experimental arts radio and podcast show, on WFMU since 2003. The show appears weekly on a seasonal basis. WFMU has also created a 24-hour-per-day radio stream of sound collage and music chosen by Bennett."
