The Lozarithm Lens

Lacock NT (Sunday 2nd April 2023)

It seems my suspicion that the interminable rain was more than usual has been borne out. I could see from Bowden Hill that the Avon had burst its banks and in fact the road was closed from Bewley Lane onwards, although some cars were still forcing their way through.

I walked down to the long old bridge to take some photographs as I had never seen this level of flooding before. A footpath sign pointed directly at a flooded field. Lacock Abbey can barely be seen in the distance in the centre of the blip in Large.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Blossom Toes - Just above my Hobby's Horse Head (1969)
This is another Richie Havens song by a band on the Marmalade label (same as Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity)(LOTD from the day before) and also produced by label owner Giorgio Gomelsky. Perhaps he was the fan. Both the sitar and the 12-string guitar were played by visiting American Shawn Phillips, who played on many Donovan recordings of that era. Like Indian Rope Man, this came from Richie Haven's album Richard P. Havens, 1983, released in 1968.
