Edinburgh

I think we chose the wettest and coldest day of the week to visit Cameron in Edinburgh!!

I took my waterproof trousers thankfully, they were needed for the wet and the cold wind! Yes I look like an Intrepid Explorer with them on but I don’t care!

We set off , with Ben, on the 10:15 bus from Broxden Park and Ride. The rain got more torrential the closer we got to Edinburgh. We got off at the bus station and headed immediately to a coffee shop on Queen Street called Bastard Barista! What a lovely place and very nice welcome from the lady serving who is from Turin. Will def return.

Then the wet and cold walk to Rose Street to Element restaurant.. Cameron was there to meet us. Food was good but they didn’t have their heating in luckily there was a blanket lying in the chair near me so wrapped that round my legs. We had some good chat and laughs and this photo is of Cameron showing Ben his physics stuff from his morning lecture. His exams are at the beginning of May.

Next was getting a bus from Princes Street to Gorgie to a VR place where these three were doing a racing game. The VR experience was booked up so the racing was free. One of the sets wasn’t working properly so the guy has given us another three free racing times to come back. The three of them loved the Grand Prix racing - the seats moved as if you were in the car and it was on the real racing tracks like Monza etc.

Bus back to the city centre (still pelting it down) a walk to the shopping centre for a heat and buying chocolate in Hotel Chocolat for comfort!

Bus at 6:15 back to Perth. Still pelting it down. 6 degrees in the car it says. UGH!!!

Great to see Cameron again .
