Female Greenfinch ( Chloris chloris )

I did take some shots wandering round Kanyl's garden but have decided on this shot of a female Greenfinch instead.

For the first time in weeks a pair of Greenfinches turned up at the feeders.  The Greenfinch population has been particularly hard hit by the Trichomonosis that has been attacking finches since the early 2000.  There has been over the later part of last century and this a 70% decrease in population.  Still a wide spread bird but more thinly spread.
