Drip drip

January called. It wants its weather back.... And that's before Storm Kathleen, due overnight Thursday/Friday.

Except midway through the day, K messaged the group to suggest an early evening swim at the Port where she thought it would be a bit drier. When I drove out there with C later on, it was indeed much drier out on the peninsula and the roads were dry. Shock. Not seen that in a while. Our swim was cold, but quite refreshing. No real waves, whereas we had been warned that at Shandwick the waves were breaking over the walls of Balintore Harbour, so it didn't seem a propitious time for a swim there. It was all a bit grey, so I didn't bother taking any photographs.

Anyway, the eleagnus, which has been enjoying life since it was repotted and stopped falling over constantly, supplied an emergency garden blip.

Another day of quiet focused working, although I had to dig deeply into my available diary time between Easter and July in order to accommodate some tasks I need to take on, as a colleague is going to be (unavoidably) absent from work.
