Today saw a respite from the rain, with the Pentlands reappearing from the clouds.

A very tanned and coiffured guy from Contract Heating came to service the boiler, and gave hope that he'd fixed the pressure drop issue that we've had for a year. However, within five hours it needed topping up again.

I worked from home, trying to fix an error in one of our solvers, only to conclude after a couple of hours that the was too tired to think enough. So I found an easier programming task. MPhil student M sent me a draft of his thesis, and then we had a chat.

In the evening, after walking Django, I went into town to meet up with A and daughter K to celebrate her 21st birthday. The Italian restaurant that we went to in Tollcross promised more than it delivered.
