In a sheltered corner

My marigold and forget-me-nots picture is straight out of the camera, taken in today's windy sunshine. They are growing in a sheltered position, but my Extra shows the strength of the wind - the last few flowers on the forsythia. Thanks to Anni for hosting Flower Friday.

Baked chocolate buns (aka fairy cakes) this morning ready for when our daughter and the children came to lunch. They went down very well and little Miss B didn't hesitate to take some home with her - allotting a few to us first! They were only here for a couple of hours or so, but we both fell asleep on their departure. Are we getting old?! Don't answer that!

There are actual puddles on our back lawn, which is squelchy all over, but the grass keeps growing. It's going to be a nightmare to cut once it's dry enough. That's clay soil for you!

Hope you have a lovely weekend, blipmates!
